as a real german person ( and sorry for my englis, but i try my best ) i have to say these gummy bears taste not like the gummy bears back here in Germany. i come to the US twice a year and the one year i was a bit "homesick", so i bought a bag of my fave german gummy bears. what can i say, the taste was like the original but actually not, even the colors aren`t right. my american friend loves the gummy bears from Germany, so i carry every 6months 30bags into the US. if you love the american version, fine, but if you ever have the chance to get a bag from Germany, try the "original", much better.

This is the first time that I have purchased Haribo Gummi bears and they are chewier and the taste is more subtle than other gummi bears with which I was familiar. However, they quickly become addictive and that is why a 5 lb bag would spell disaster for me because I would be unable to stop eating them. I like the fact that the gummi bears are chewier because it slows me down. Initially I ate several gummi bears at one time and it was hard to distinguish the different flavors. I currently find the taste to be more distinctive if I eat the same flavor at one time.

I will buy Haibo gummy bears again because I like the consistency and taste which I think is more subtle than others that I have tried.

The shipment came quick enough but the Gummi Bears were all melted together in one big glob. Wasted a lot of money and the Gummi's were for a party I was throwing. SO I had to run out to an outlet mall to get them.

As one other reviewer already did, I would like to point out that these are NOT vegetarian- they contain gelatin.
